Villa Contignano easily sleeps up to 19 in 8 very spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Most bathrooms have stone sinks designed by the owner's wife who has her own home furnishings boutique in Rome and draws most of her inventory from Italian artisans who create pieces based on her original designs.

The house has a an extraordinary kitchen: great hearth (3 meters wide) for grilling, 10 gas burners, two large ovens, microwave, double sized fridge with ice dispenser, Pavoni coffee machine, central table for 8 and a large comfortable dining room which seats 20 with a splendid sunset and views of clay hills.

The Villa also comprises a spacious living room with hearth. An heated jet stream swimming pool 20x4 meters together with a jet stream hot tub for six. Outdoors you will enjoy an ancient stone paved dining patio which sets 20 with built-in barbecue and a second stone-paved patio for drinks at sunset.

House laundry (heavy duty machinery), Guest's laundry (washing machine and tumble dryer, Satellite TV, VCR, DVD, CD player. No radiators, heating is provided by an under floor system. Vegetable and flower garden, 3 acres of automatically watered lawn and orchard.

Villa Contignano is situated on a dramatic hilltop, overlooking the rolling hills of the Val d'Orcia near Contignano. It has been tastefully restored: all the exterior stone has been restored, radiant heating has been installed in the floors and a stunning swimming pool installed.

The furnishings have been hand-selected by the owner's wife, an interior designer. The house has a huge exterior stone staircase leading to the first floor. The first floor may also be reached by an internal staircase. Two stone-paved patios flank the external staircase. One is an outdoor dining area with a large built-in barbecue. Beyond is the infinity pool (4 meters wide and 20 meters long). Positioned to the side of the swimming pool is a large hot tub for eight.

The area where the villa is located, is very convenient for discovering the most interesting Tuscan tourist attractions and the still undiscovered region of Umbria. Medieval towns such as Pienza, Monticchiello, Montepulciano are at an easy reach, many wineries and restaurants offer the possibility of tasting the delicious Tuscan food and well knonw Tuscan wines.
